Editorial Guidelines & Independence

Our readers trust us to tell them whether something is worth their money. These guidelines explain how we protect that trust.

Last updated: October 16, 2026

Our independence

  • No paid reviews. Brands, retailers and PR agencies cannot pay for coverage, a placement in a roundup or a better score.
  • Editorial decides, not commerce. Products are chosen and ranked on our testing and research alone. Whether a product has an affiliate programme — or how much it pays — plays no part in our recommendations.
  • No advance approval. Manufacturers never see or approve a review before it’s published.

Review samples and gifts

We buy many of the products we test. When a manufacturer lends or gives us a product, we state this clearly in the article. Accepting a sample never obliges us to publish a positive review — or any review at all. We don’t accept payment, travel or gifts in exchange for coverage.

Affiliate links

WorthCheckr is reader-supported and may earn a commission when you buy through links on our site. Affiliate links are marked as sponsored in our code, and every article that contains them carries a disclosure near the top. Read our full affiliate disclosure.

Accuracy and sourcing

  • We base verdicts on our own hands-on testing wherever possible, and say clearly when a recommendation is based on research instead (see how we test).
  • Specifications are checked against manufacturer documentation. Where sources disagree, we use the most reliable one and note uncertainty.
  • Prices and availability change constantly. Prices we mention are a guide at the time of writing — always check the retailer for the current price.

Use of AI and software tools

We may use software tools to help with research, organising notes or checking grammar. Every verdict, score and recommendation is based on human testing and judgement, and every article is reviewed by a person before it’s published.

Updates

Our guides are living documents. We revisit them when new models launch, prices shift or long-term use changes our view. Each article shows a “Last updated” date so you know how current it is.

Corrections

We work hard to get things right, but mistakes happen. If you spot an error, please contact us or email worthcheckr@gmail.com. We review every correction request, fix confirmed errors promptly and, for significant changes, add a note to the article explaining what changed.

Conflicts of interest

Our writers don’t review products from companies they have a financial or personal relationship with. If a potential conflict ever arises, it is disclosed in the article or the writer steps aside.
